In July 2005, Spanish Peaks Regional Health Center received a $200 Seed Grant to provide materials for their “Issues of Life: Five Wishes” community meeting. The grant money was used to purchase Five Wishes booklets in both English and Spanish, and the Five Wishes video.

A variety of professionals, ranging from counselors to lawyers, were invited to the local community center to discuss the importance of Living Wills and Power of Attorney. Unfortunately, the booklets did not arrive in time! Spanish Peaks took advantage of this “snafu,” however, and held another meeting in their facility once the booklets arrived.
