3R Net (National Rural Recruitment and Retention Network)
Provides assistance to both providers searching for opportunities and to facilities searching for providers.

Bureau of Primary Care - Health Resource and Service Administration
BPC provides a searchable database that allows you to query search the entire state of Colorado or counties within the state. The database allow you to limit your search to the type (single county, geographic area, population, facility), discipline (primary medical care, dental, mental health), and/or status (designated, withdrawn, undetermined, etc.) of an area. If designated, the date of the most designation will be provided. Designations are required to be updated every three years.

Capital Area Rural Health Roundtable Directory
This document is an invaluable resource for rural health professionals, containing 600 organizations, businesses, associations, foundations, and federal offices who are interested in rural health issues. (Note: This is a rather large PDF document - 88 pages; please allow some time for download.)

Centers for Disease Control (CDC)
Located in beautiful Atlanta, GA, this organization provides state/national information, resources, and research on disease control and injury prevention. Topics on this site include the Healthy People 2010 report; causes, rates, and risk factors for any given illness; and much more.

Indian Health Services
Provides a wealth of information and resources specifically for federally recognized American Indian tribes. Site contains valuable links to the Native Health Research Database, Native Health History Database, and Indian Health Medicare/Children's Insurance.

National Association of Rural Health Clinics (NARHC)
The National Association of Rural Health Clinics (NARHC) is the only national organization dedicated exclusively to improving the delivery of quality, cost-effective health care in rural under served areas through the Rural Health Clinics (RHC) Program. NARHC works with Congress, federal agencies, and rural health allies to promote, expand, and protect the RHC Program. Through the association, NARHC members become actively engaged in the legislative and regulatory process. Please view this website as an information resource for and about the Rural Health Clinics program.

National Institutes of Health (NIH) & National Library of Medicine
Provides state/national resources and current research related to disease and health care services. There is a wide variety of data from a variety of sites and sources.

National Health Information Center
Health information referral service that places health professionals and consumers who have questions in touch with those organizations that best able to provide answers. A search on "AIDS", for example, would refer you to the National Association of People with AIDS or the Elizabeth Glazer Pediatric AIDS Foundation.

Rural Information Center (RIC)
RIC provides information and referral services for rural communities, officials, organizations, and citizens. It provides customized information products to specific inquiries including assistance in economic revitalization issues; local government planning projects; funding sources; technical assistance programs; research studies; and other related issues. Rural Policy Research Institute (RUPRI)
RUPRI provides many resources - including analysis and information of rural communities across the country. RUPRI's Center for Rural Health Policy Analysis is one of the eight rural health research centers funded by the Office of Rural Health Policy.
