Critical Access Hospital Funding Opportunities

The Federal Office of Rural Health Policy (ORHP) has developed final guidance for the "Small Rural Hospital Improvement Grant Program." This program provides grants to small rural hospitals to help them do any or all of the following: PPS implementation costs, HIPAA compliance, and reduce medical errors and support quality management. CRHC has submitted the grant request on behalf of all of Colorado's Rural Hospitals and approximately $10,000 for each eligible hospital.

Colorado Department of Local Affairs (DOLA) Grants

DOLA offers a wide vrange of services to communities and local governments to help build their capacity. These services includ specialized training, technical and financial assistance and emergency management. Of the many grants available, one that may be particulary applicable to CAH's is the Energy and Mineral Impact Grant. This grant provides funding for planning, construction, and maintenance of public facilities and provision of public services. Eligible recipients are municipalities, counties, school districts, special districts and other political subdivisions which are socially or economically impacted by the development, processing or energy conversion of minerals and mineral fuels.
