![]() J1 Visa/Conrad 30 Guildelines: The Conrad 30 and National Interest Waiver (NIW) programs increase Colorado's access to Primary Healthcare services. Foreign trained physicians who have completed residencies in the U.S. may be granted a J-1 Visa or NIW Waiver to work in Colorado's underserved communities based on a recommendation to the U.S. Department of State and/or the Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment. Applications for the Conrad 30 and National Interest Waiver programs are accepted by the Primary Care Office, reviewed by a committee to ensure that the physician meets the needs of the underserved area and then forwarded to the Department of State and/or INS for approval. The Colorado Conrad 30 Application and Guidelines, along with all of the following information, can be found at the Colorado Department of Health and Environment's website http://www.cdphe.state.co.us/pp/oralhealth/J1.html
