The Colorado Rural Health Center (CRHC) is an independent, non-profit, membership-based organization that serves as the State Office of Rural Health for Colorado. It is a diverse mix of people, programs and places interested in Colorado's rural healthcare that has a growing list of activities and accomplishments. The Colorado Rural Health Center offers programs and services to ensure that rural communities have access to adequate healthcare. The Colorado Rural Health Center provides:

Information: The Center acts as a clearinghouse of information and resources on rural health issues in Colorado and the country. This information is available to healthcare consumers, advocates, facilities, programs, and services.

Education: The Center sponsors a variety of educational events, including: workshops, meetings and conferences which provide education about our country's ever-changing healthcare system. In addition to educating those who live in rural communities, the Center advocates for accessible quality healthcare in rural Colorado by educating legislative decision-makers and keeping urban counterparts informed of current rural healthcare issues.

Linkages: Often rural health issues can be addressed simply by connecting people, facilities, federal, state, and private and communities. The Center knows that many of the solutions to rural health issues and concerns lie within our state's boundaries. The Center works toward identifying successful healthcare projects, activities, and agencies, and linking them together through formal and informal methods.

Tools: While the Center has been known to provide a hammer or nail through Rural Health Seed Grants, the Center's tool box includes much more. The Center takes advantage of many tools in working on rural health issues. These tools include volunteers, grant dollars, other state, federal, and private agencies, education, and networking.

Energy: The Center, through its culture of participation, innovation, and fun, creates new energy toward identifying rural health solutions.
