Mission

"Enhancing healthcare services by providing information, education, linkages, tools and energy toward addressing rural healthcare issues."

The Colorado Rural Health Center is a diverse mix of people, programs, and places interested in Colorado's rural healthcare. The CRHC's mission is to enhance healthcare services by providing information, education, linkages, tools and energy toward addressing rural healthcare issues. CRHC provides or helps arrange for technical assistance to rural communities so they can take full advantage of federal, state, public, and private resources. The Center builds linkages among rural programs and communities and urban and rural colleagues toward identifying and addressing healthcare issues.

CRHC was established in 1991 by members of the Colorado Rural Health Consortium with start-up support from the Federal Office of Rural Health Policy and several other public and private organizations around the state. The Center was developed as a non-profit organization. The Colorado Rural Health Center remains a non-profit organization and is one of only three non-profit offices of rural health in the country. CRHC has a statewide membership of over 2,500 people and organizations.
