The Colorado Rural Health Center (CRHC) is an independent, non-profit
organization that serves as Colorado's State Office of Rural Health. CRHC
funding comes from federal grants, private foundations, membership, sponsorship,
and donations. CRHC does not receive any state dollars and relies on grants
and contributions to support many of its programs and services. Contributing
to CRHC will help strengthen the rural health infrastructure in Colorado,
which in turn will ensure rural communities have access to quality healthcare
services.
Below, we have outlined ways individuals or corporations can support
and work with CRHC in its mission of enhancing healthcare services in
Colorado by providing information, education, linkages, tools, and energy
toward addressing rural healthcare issues.
Becoming a CRHC Investing Member
Membership dollars are our most precious funding in that these dollars
represent the direct support and contribution of individuals and organizations
in Colorado. Investing membership funds also give CRHC flexibility to
address rural health needs and issues as they arise. Becoming an investing
member is the easiest way to partner with CRHC. Membership investing levels
begin at the Student level ($15) and work up to the Corporate level ($1500).
Members receive a variety of benefits including discounts to CRHC events,
the monthly Express Delivery and quarterly Online Special Delivery, access
to CRHC resources and library, just to name a few. Click
here to review benefits of each level in detail or see our brochure.
Sponsoring a Specific Program or Service
CRHC offers a variety of programs and services to constituents. Sponsorship
of any of these programs provides publicity and visibility for the organization
and helps ensure the program's sustainability.
Our Marva Jean Jackson Rural Community Health Scholarship program
supports rural "grow your own" efforts. Grants, up to $1,000,
are available to match, 2:1, scholarship awards that help rural communities
grow the providers they will need for tomorrow. Supporting this program
will ensure a community's ability to provide training for healthcare professionals
as well as providing an opportunity for a rural person to further his or
her education. Donors will be recognized in quarterly newsletter articles
as well as in CRHC's end-of-year reports.
Participating
in the Annual Rural Health Conference
CRHC hosts the Colorado Annual Rural Health Conference, the premier statewide
event that focuses on rural healthcare issues in Colorado. There are several
opportunities to become involved with this event such as hosting a roundtable
discussion, sponsoring a speaker, or exhibiting in the Exhibitor Showcase.
Organizations can also sponsor scholarships for rural attendees, participant
gifts, or a break or meal. Hundreds of people including hospital and clinic
administrators, healthcare providers, bureaucrats, consultants, public
health professionals, etc. from across Colorado will attend this event.
Sponsors of the conference receive a great deal of publicity prior to
the event, as well as recognition throughout the conference. They will
also be recognized in the Special Delivery Newsletter as well as in CRHC's
mid-year and end-of-year reports. Sponsorship of the conference enables
CRHC to provide valuable educational and networking opportunities at low
cost to participants.
Sponsoring
the Rural Health Clinics Forum
CRHC hosts an Annual Rural Health Clinics Forum, an educational and networking
opportunity specifically designed for Colorado's 44 Certified Rural Health
Clinics. Training seminars and workshops are held as well as an interactive
discussion among clinic administrators regarding what works in the rural
health clinic setting. Clinic staff members share ideas, challenges, and
resources. Sponsorship of the Forum provides opportunity for networking
and educational advancement among clinic administrators. Sponsors are
recognized in Forum notebooks and handouts and on mailers sent to advertise
the Forum. Sponsors are also thanked throughout the event and have the
opportunity to place marketing materials at the registration desk for
participants. CRHC will also recognize sponsors in the Special
Delivery Newsletter as well as in CRHC's mid-year and end-of-year reports. If appropriate
to the topic and format, sponsors will have the opportunity to speak briefly
to the group about their organizations.
Hosting Regional Forums, Workshops, and Seminars
CRHC hosts a variety of events and educational opportunities in rural
areas throughout the year. Sponsoring an event will expose your organization
to an assortment of people and places statewide and provide educational
and networking opportunities for participants.
CRHC hosts regional forums to discuss local health
issues, as well as workshops and seminars on a variety
of topics including billing/reimbursement, quality improvement, and network
development. Sponsorship of a workshop can include bringing in a
speaker, providing lunch or snacks, or offering scholarships for rural
participants.
Marketing materials publicizing these events will be sent out to CRHC constituents
recognizing all sponsors. Sponsors also have the opportunity to include
brochures or other marketing materials with participant folders and, if
appropriate, will have the opportunity to speak briefly to the group about
their organizations. CRHC will also send a variety of marketing materials
to constituents advertising the event.
Offering General Administrative Support
CRHC could also use a hand with general administrative support. If your
organization has the ability to print a large quantity of brochures or
other documents or help us complete a large mailing, we'd be happy to
recognize that in-kind contribution. CRHC also hosts many conference calls,
since sometimes meeting face-to-face is near impossible. If your organization
has a bridge line and is willing to let CRHC use it for a board meeting
or regional meeting, we'd be happy to recognize that contribution as well.
There are many different ways to become involved with rural health issues
and the Colorado Rural Health Center. From learning about rural health
issues and discussing them with your co-workers, colleagues, and community
to sponsorship of the Colorado Annual Rural Health Conference, there is
a partnership opportunity and the ability to make a difference. Call CRHC
today and make your investment in rural Colorado and join us in our quest
to strengthen healthcare services across the state!
