Utilization Management for Critical Access Hospitals – Webinar
Join the Colorado Rural Health Center (CRHC) for this webinar on Utilization Management (UM) and Utilization Review (UR) for CAHs. All hospitals, including CAHs, must have a UM/UR Plan that describes the process used to review all services provided by the institution and by the members of the medical staff. In addition to assuring optimal healthcare delivery and positive patient outcomes, sound UM/UR practices are integral to achieving successful results during activities such as RAC audits. During this webinar, experts from the Joffit Group, will discuss the components involved in setting up an efficient UM/UR process and will review CRHC's Utilization Management Resource for CAHs, a concise, easy-to-use tool for hospital providers and staff that explains the role of UM/UR in various CAH settings including: Inpatient, Outpatient, Observation, and Swing Bed.

CAH Swing Beds: Part I – Webinar
Join the Colorado Rural Health Center (CRHC) for Part I in a 2-part webinar series on Swing Bed usage in CAHs. Utilizing swing beds in Critical Access Hospitals provides a viable option at the local community level for patients in need of skilled care. Additionally, swing bed usage for rehabilitation can strengthen relationships between CAHs and larger tertiary facilities subject to Inpatient Rehab Facility rules that limit treatment for specified conditions. During the CAH Swing Bed Webinar Part I, experts from the Joffit Group will cover a comprehensive overview of Medicare Swing Bed regulations for CAH Swing Beds.

CRHC’s Annual Regional CAH Quality Improvement Workshops and CAH Board Workshops

CAH Quality Improvement Workshop
This workshop is geared towards CAH Quality Directors and Staff. The workshop will include a presentation by Beth Katzenberg from CFMC, Round Robin, Data for Quality Improvement, and more. There is no charge for Colorado CAH Staff to attend. Agenda available soon. Continental breakfast and lunch will be provided.
CAH Board Workshop
This workshop is geared towards CAH Boards and CEOs. The workshop will be facilitated by board and governance expert and CEO of Charney Associates, Bill Charney. There is no charge for Colorado CAH Boards and CEOs to attend. Agenda available soon. Dinner will be provided.

CAH Quality Network Calls

The CRHC Colorado Rural Credentialing Network assists hospitals and clinics with credentialing issues specific to accreditation requirements, significant legislation, and civil litigation.
CRHC’s iCARE Webinars
iCARE webinars take place the 2nd Friday of every month. Webinars during the even months are from 11:00am-12:00pm. Webinar during the odd months are from 11:00am-12:30pm. Webinar information will be sent out to participants prior to each session.
For those iCARE hospitals also participating in the iCARE Lean Sigma Healthcare (LSH) training series, there are additional monthly webinars on Jan 20, Feb 24, Mar 16, Mar 30, April 20, May 18, and June 1.
