CPR Community Services
Recruiting a healthcare provider can be a time consuming and expensive process. CPR is a non-profit recruitment program that can complete much of the preliminary work, such as candidate sourcing and prescreening, in a much more cost effective manner than for profit recruitment firms. Please read about our services below. To take advantage of the services and programs offered by the Colorado Provider Recruitment program, communities must enter into a Service Agreement with the Colorado Rural Health Center. For more information, please call 800.851.6782 or email cpr@coruralhealth.org.

Sourcing Candidates
CPR finds candidates for your practice site. We find candidates at local and national recruitment events, exhibits, and conferences. We visit the Colorado residency and training programs and meet with the students in person. We advertise our jobs as needed in medical journals and on several websites, but most importantly all jobs are always advertised on the www.3rnet.org website which is federally funded and dedicated to finding rural providers.

Candidate Prescreening
When CPR staff meets a new candidate that is interested in Colorado, they build a relationship with the provider and maintain contact with them until they find a job – hopefully in Colorado! CPR has a database of providers who are interested in pursuing their careers in Colorado. This database holds key information on providers' education, their professional background, and their professional and personal interests. CPR will prescreen candidates using specific guidelines developed by your individual community. Prescreening ensures CPR is referring only those candidates who possess the characteristics and skills that best meet the needs of your site and your community.

Candidate Referrals
Once it has been determined that a provider has met the basic needs of your community, and they are interested in your opportunity, CPR will forward the candidate's profile and CV to your site for review and future action.

Technical Assistance
Colorado Provider Recruitment will work with communities to accurately assess their healthcare provider needs. CPR can provide information and workshops on topics such as: forming a recruitment committee, defining an opportunity and the ideal candidate, developing a recruitment budget, screening candidates, and conducting site visits. CPR staff has a wealth of information to help make the recruitment process successful for your clinic!

National Recruitment Network
CPR has been designated as the Colorado representative for the National Rural Recruitment and Retention Network (3RNet). This national network is utilized by healthcare professionals across the country to search for practice opportunities in rural communities.

Search Colorado
www.SearchColorado.org is a website where each of our Colorado communities can have a web page that provids information for potential providers to review when considering a potential move. It includes information such as weather, cost of living, real estate, recreation, schools, nearest airports, local attractions, healthcare in the community, and much more.
