CREATE is Accepting Applications!
CREATE assists private and public organizations in improving and expanding the emergency medical and trauma system in Colorado. Applicants must have as their purpose the provision of emergency medical and trauma services in Colorado to be eligible. This grant is intended to provide funding for education and training for emergency medical and trauma services.
Senate Bill 34 created the EMTS grant program in 1989, which is now governed under Colorado Revised Statute (CRS) Sec. 1, 25-3.5-601. The Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment administers the general EMTS grant program, and the Colorado Rural Health Center administers the education and training portion of this grant program. CREATE is the name of the education and training portion of the EMTS grant program, and applications must be submitted separately from applications to the general grant program.
In order to access the CREATE grant application, you must complete a few preliminary steps to satisfy data collection and payment execution requirements. Once you have completed these steps and submitted your application, you will be informed of the committee's decision within 45 days. The application resources will be available in June of 2010. When they have been posted and you are ready to begin the grant process, please click on the links below to access grant guidelines, answers to your questions, and the initial steps for all applicants.
