Hospitals & Clinics Programs
CRHC supports the fragile healthcare delivery system in Colorado by providing programs to rural hospitals and clinics that improve quality of care, increase funding and reimbursement, and assist with emergency preparedness.
Critical Access Hospital (CAH) Program
CRHC provides federal funding through the Rural Hospital Flexibility program to administer the CAH Program. Eligible hospitals may convert and receive cost-based Medicare reimbursement.

Emergency Preparedness & Response
The Colorado Rural Health Center works with a diverse group of emergency services agencies, providing resources, funding, and equipment to rural health facilities.

Performance Improvement & Enhancement (PIE) Program
PIE is a comprehensive set of programs and tools designed to improve internal processes and clinical outcomes for rural clinics, leading to higher quality patient care.  One such program, Improving Performance in Practice (IPIP) is offered to rural clinics by CRHC.

Rural Health Clinics (RHC) Program
CRHC provides a variety of resources to the Rural Health Clinics (RHCs) of Colorado by providing various workshops, the Annual RHC Forum, and RHC Web Site, among others.

THE Consortium
CRHC's Technology for Healthcare Excellence (THE) Consortium provides facilities with access to trusted resources to assist them with their journey to assess, adopt, and implement Health Information Technology (HIT) solutions.

Workforce Programs
In an effort to identify and relieve the workforce problems in Colorado, CRHC administers a variety of programs that improve provider recruitment and retention and fund loan repayment for healthcare workers.
Colorado Provider Recruitment (CPR) Program
CPR is a nonprofit recruitment program that provides a broad range of services.  This program is designed to assist rural and urban underserved communities with the recruitment and retention of healthcare providers.  CPR also works directly with primary care providers to assist them in finding job opportunities in Colorado.

Loan Repayment & Scholarships
Loan repayment and scholarships are two ways to pay for student loans that are offered in exchange for service in certain underserved areas and to certain underserved populations.

Colorado Health Professions Workforce Policy Collaborative
The Collaborative is a multidisciplinary group that is committed to ensuring a highly qualified healthcare workforce to provide all Coloradans with access to quality healthcare.

Colorado Rural Recruitment & Retention Network (CoRRRN)
The Colorado Rural Recruitment and Retention Network is a network of agencies and organizations involved in rural workforce issues. This group meets quarterly to discuss workforce issues in Colorado.

Resource Programs
CRHC administers numerous other programs that provide technical assistance, grant dollars, grant-writing assistance, low-cost access to capital medical equipment, advocacy, and other resources for our rural members.
Colorado Resource for Emergency And Trauma Education (CREATE)
CRHC administers this grant program for the Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment, which provides funding for education and training for emergency medical and trauma services.

Colorado Rural Health Advocacy Coalition (CoRHAC)
CoRHAC has brought together five organizations to develop a structure and voice for the rural healthcare needs of Colorado.

Colorado Rural Health Care Grant Program (CRHCGP)
CRHC administers a grant program for the Colorado Rural Health Council, which awards a minimum of $1 million per year to remedy deficiencies in access to healthcare for rural and underserved Coloradans.

Colorado Sustainable Towns: Rural Innovation, Development, Expansion, and Success (STRIDES)
Colorado STRIDES addresses rural Colorado's healthcare workforce shortage by working with local communities to builds upon assets while addressing opportunities for improvement.

Community SHARES
A Colorado-grown community giving fund, Community Shares has worked for 23 years to broaden charitable choice in workplace giving campaigns.

Grants: Research, Opportunities & Writing (GROW) Program
As part of CRHC’s continuing commitment to safeguard and expand rural healthcare, we launched a new program to provide grant writing resources to individuals, groups, organizations, and communities.

Policy & Advocacy
CRHC advocates on behalf of the healthcare needs of rural Colorado, tracking, analyzing, and influencing legislation and regulatory issues that will impact the state’s rural communities.

Seed Grants
CRHC sets aside a portion of its revenues as seed money for projects that enhance healthcare services in Colorado. Rural members can apply for these grants of up to $500.
